Join us for Riverside Chats, where we spotlight the do-gooders, newsmakers, and rebels of our community. This month, we're thrilled to host Steve McBride!
This month, we are thrilled to host Steve McBride, Vice President of Operations at Skils’kin and an eternal optimist dedicated to empowering others.
Steve, a fourth-generation Spokane native, blends an entrepreneurial background with his unwavering commitment to service. At Skils’kin, a nonprofit focused on providing employment services to adults with disabilities, he plays an instrumental role in helping individuals find meaningful employment and effectively manage their resources. His work promotes integration and enhances the quality of life for many in our community.
In addition to his impactful work at Skils’kin, Steve hosts Good Gab, a podcast highlighting positive initiatives within our community, extending his platform to voices across the political spectrum. He believes in the power of unity and communal support, and his podcast reflects this inclusivity. Now, the tables are turned and Steve will be interviewed about his own life experiences.
Our Current Affairs Specialist, Shane Gronholz, will sit down with Steve to delve into his career, his passions, and his journey. They'll discuss Steve's remarkable work in the disability community, the experiences shaping his life and career, and his commitment to positivity and empowerment.
We look forward to hearing your thoughts! Who are the do-gooders, newsmakers, and rebels you'd like to spotlight? Suggest someone for Shane to interview next! Email your recommendations to currentaffairs@spokanelibrary.org.
Mark your calendars for a fun and edifying conversation with Steve McBride.
